Armed Forces was first issued on Radar [UK] #RAD 14 and Columbia [US] #35709 (January 1979)
(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding was first issued as the B-side of the Nick Lowe single American Squirm Radar [UK] #ADA 26 credited to Nick Lowe & His Sound. The track did not appear on the UK release of the album.

Live At Hollywood High And Elsewhere 1978
"Accidents Will Happen", "Alison" and "Watching The Detectives" were first issued as a giveaway EP with initial copies of Armed Forces / Produced by Nick Lowe / Chemistry Class recorded live at The Warner Theatre, Washington DC (28 February 1979).
